 17 June 2009 – IT security specialist Avira has had the performance of its anti-virus solutions tested by the Technical Control Association (TÜV). TÜV Saarland has been examining the performance of security software regularly since 2004. With the same continuity, Avira has obtained the much-sought-after TÜV seal of approval for the 100 percent detection of all “in the wild” viruses!

23 June 2009 – The IT security experts at Avira have developed their anti-virus solutions for both professional and private use to work with the new operating system. The products, which includes Avira AntiVir Premium 9, are compatible with Windows 7 which will reach stores by the end of 2009.
Users who are still using previous versions of Avira can migrate to the current, ninth generation, version free of charge within their active license period and get the maximum protection under Windows 7.
